Simon Blyth
Managing Director INCYT
Simon grew up on a farm in northwestern NSW before founding LX, a company specialising in IoT product and solution development, in 2005. Simon and the team have worked with technology start-ups through to multinationals and delivered over 500 custom IoT products and projects straddling a wide range of technologies and industry verticals including: smart cities, AgTech, wearables, medical, consumer, industrial IoT, logistics, utilities and smart buildings. LX has won National and International Awards for IoT engineering excellence, product design and business performance.
Combining his farming background, passion for agriculture and knowledge of IoT product and solution development, Simon created INCYT in 2020 as part of the LX-group. INCYT supports farmers in becoming more efficient through our Operational Insights System (OIS), which enables you to remotely monitor and control critical assets through one central dashboard.

Chris Thornurn
Thorburn Drone Solutions
Chris Thorburn brings over a decade of hands-on experience in agriculture, combined with a background in global commodity trading in Switzerland and Singapore. For the past 11 years, he’s worked as a farm manager overseeing cropping, livestock, and vineyard operations. As a CASA certified Drone Pilot (RePL) & Chief Remote Pilot (ReOC), Chris is now taking his expertise to the skies, offering specialised drone contracting services to help farmers make smarter, data-driven decisions. Based in Tocumwal, Chris is passionate about blending technology with agriculture to deliver real value to rural communities. When he’s not flying drones, he enjoys life on the land with his wife and two children.

Cam Nicholson
Nicon Rural Services
Cam Nicholson is a director of Nicon Rural Services, a consulting business near Geelong working with the grazing and cropping industries. Cam has worked in pasture agronomy and soils for nearly 40 years and has been involved in many farmer programs for the GRDC, MLA, Landcare and the current Future Drought Fund. He provides consultancy advice to farmers and lectures on animal and pasture systems at Marcus Oldham College. His most recent work has focussed on understanding and discussing risk in farming businesses, trying to make sense of carbon emissions and decision making. He and his wife Fiona run a beef and sheep farm on the Bellarine Peninsula turning off cattle for the long fed feedlot market and fine wool.

Damian Jones
Research Manager IFN
Damian is an irrigated cropping agronomist that previously worked for DPI at Kerang and is now with Agronomic Results. He has been involved with irrigated trials for 25 years and works closely with the Irrigated Cropping Council (Now Irrigation Farmers Network) on the Trial Block at Kerang. Variety evaluation, irrigation management and grazing cereals has been a focus of the trial work at Kerang. Damian brings specialist expertise to the team in irrigated crop trial design, establishment and management as well as extensive knowledge about crop agronomy.

Andrew Shields
Goulburn Murray Water
Andrew is the River Operations Manager at Goulburn-Murray Water. Andrew is an environmental engineer and environmental scientist. Andrew has over 16 years of experience in water resource management and leads the Goulburn-Murray Water team responsible for assessing water availability in all regulated water systems across northern Victoria, flood operations and environmental water delivery.
